BEST SUGAR COOKIE RECIPE EVER!

I promise.

INGREDIENTS:

• 1 cup butter
• 1 1/2 cup sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 3 cups flour
• 2 tsp. baking powder
• 1/2 tsp. salt

ICING:

• 4-6 tbs. butter (I used 6, but I probably only needed 4)
• 1 lb. powder sugar
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 1/2 cup milk (or less, add slowly depending on the consistency you want for your icing)

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Cream together butter and sugar.
2. Add eggs, one at a time on low-med speed.
3. Add vanilla.
4. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add to wet ingredients.
5. Bake at 350 until edges are slightly golden.

I am not steering you wrong when I say this is the best sugar cookie recipe!  My mom owns a catering business and I got this recipe from the woman who she purchased all her baked goods from.  I always receive compliments when I bake these.  It’s great because you can use this recipe for any holiday or occasion.
